Cube volume formula
V = s³ = s × s × s
s is the length of any edge. All 12 edges of a cube are equal, so one length determines all three perpendicular dimensions.
Example: side length 4
V = 4³ = 4 × 4 × 4 = 64 cubic units.
Check the exponent and unit
Volume uses cubic units: a 4 cm side gives 64 cm³, not 64 cm. Doubling the side multiplies volume by 2³ = 8. This models an ideal solid cube, not the usable capacity of a real container.
